Project Description

The Black Student Union (BSU) at Florida State University is a new, two-story student services building consisting of public spaces on the first floor such as a large multi-purpose room, entry exhibit area, lounge area, kitchen, pantry, and public restrooms. The second floor contains private individual offices, a workroom, common area, collaboration spaces, and a large conference room. The BSU strives to offer and promote economic, political and academic enrichment through its activities. Along with serving the BSU organization, the building provides offices for faculty and meeting space for lectures.

VoltAir provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering and technology design services on the project.
