Project Description
Interior renovation approximately 53,589-SF that houses the Information and Finance offices for Tampa General Hospital. VoltAir was hired to review and evaluate existing HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical Systems for the facility.
The building’s normal power system for HVAC, lighting, and general power devices was a complete redesign throughout the whole facility downstream of the existing main distribution panels that were re-used. The fire alarm system was modified and extended to fit the new interior design. All new data technology rooms were designed with a fiber backbone between intermediate distribution points throughout the building. A new 250KW diesel generator on a skid base tank placed outside with a weatherproof enclosure. The electrical generator distribution system was separated into two systems, one for life safety emergency loads, and user optional standby systems each with individual automatic transfer switches.
