Project Description

20,000-SF, $8 million fully air-conditioned warehouse. Interior features include: drive in freezer and coolers, office space, and capacity for future high rack storage and baggage handling and screening. The warehouse is equipped with full generator power back up, lightning protection, fire alarm, chilled water, variable air volume, and a fully ducted HVAC system using two central station air handling units. Also included is a fire pump sprinkler system, communication room backup air conditioning, emergency shower and eyewash stations, staff showers, gang restrooms, and staff break room.

Design provisions were made for future scanning equipment (including explosive devices scanning equipment) and high-pile storage (thus the necessity for the fire pump). Site and facility improvements to accommodate an additional future 42,000 SF of warm shell building space on site were also designed.
