Project Description

A 100KW solar array was built on the upper-roof parking level of a seven-story parking garage on the University of South Florida’s St. Petersburg Campus in downtown St. Petersburg. The project was a joint venture with Duke Energy, the utility company which funded the project. A design-build photovoltaic (PV) contractor was assigned to build the solar array. The project deployed a Tesla battery storage system. VoltAir was responsible for providing permit drawings for the connections of the solar array and battery system to the existing building’s electrical system.

VoltAir provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services on the project.
